Native Americans have long utilized art, music, and percussion to transfer energy and honor their ancestors. Join Djuro and special guest Lakota elder, Mr. Charging Crow, in this unique and rare opportunity to design and paint a piece of art featuring the medicine wheel.

The medicine wheel is an ancient and sacred symbol used by many Tribes that signifies health, healing, wholeness, and balance. The four quadrants represents spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional planes of existence, and the four medicines: Tobacco, Sage, Cedar, and Sweetgrass. This energy embodies the four directions, as well as Father Sky, Mother Earth, and Spirit Tree, all of which symbolize the dimensions of health and the cycles of life.

Mr. Charging Crow will discuss the history, significance, and colors behind the medicine wheel and everyone will have the opportunity to design and decorate your own canvas. We will open with a Native American drumming ceremony and the animal spirit song will be sung to help bring in your personalized spirit animal that you can choose to incorporate in your artwork.

No experience is necessary! Mr. Charging Crow will help with anyone that needs inspiration putting their expression onto the canvas. All supplies included: canvas and painting supplies (including paint colors of your choice). You're welcome to bring your own item to paint (i.e. drum). Gathering is limited to 16 participants.

Appointment Cancellation Policy: For cancellations, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged or losing your deposit. If there is an extenuating circumstance please let us know.
